Swimming
The swimming exercise in Pilates will help to strengthen your abs, your legs and your arms. Start by lying on your stomach on the floor. Put your arms straight above your head so that they are parallel to the ground. Your legs should be parallel to the floor also. Tighten your abs as your lift your shins, your knees and your arms off the floor. Now press down with your left arm and your left leg as your lift your right arm and your right leg. Alternate pressing and lifting and use this pattern to simulate swimming. Do this for 30 seconds and bring your limbs back to the floor.
